Great doctor has been my doctor for for 22 years

Exceptional Doctor with wonderful staff: I have been a patient w/ Dr. Barakat for about five years now...I find him to be a great listener and sensitive to people - he really cares about the individual. Any person, no matter what field should be as good with people as is Dr. Barakat. In the same way the office staff is very good - all from the Bronx like me - we understand each other. Note that you cannot make an appointment...just walk in and wait (afternoons are less busy than mornings)...but be patient...Dr. Barakat will see you...in the meantime read the NY Times on your cell phone or similar.

I have been with my physician for over 15 years i am really a dieharded loyal kind of gal i was worried when i knew i had to change from the doctor due to changing my insurance who cared for me for so that long i was truly terrified!! But the fist time i met Dr Firas Barakat i knew my worries had ended i find him to be a very caring understanding and listens to your concerns and make his diagnosed when he tests all areas he leaves no stone unturned i knew i will be spending the rest of my life with him until i am taken away from this world lets put it this way until God say my time is expired. I love my doctor. Caring passionate and thorough. He’s been a family dr and my doctor since I was 18 however the staff is completely lazy I’m not sure what exactly they get paid for because they don’t do anything but answer the phone and check you in. They don’t answer questions it seems like they don’t give messages because you have to keep calling to find out what’s going on.

If I can give it a half star I would. Where do I even begin, the office is filthy and the front desk workers are so rude.
