All the doctors and nurse practitioners in this practice are friendly and seem competent. However, the only way they will let you communicate with their office is through the Klara texting system, which sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. There's no way to reach them on the phone. Sometimes I've had to resort to actually walking into the office so I can speak to a human being, for example about a bill they kept sending me over and over for many months, when they should have been sending it to my insurance company. They won't refill prescriptions without making you come in for an appointment, which can mean an expensive copay or payment towards a deductible. When I do go in, the "exam" consists of the doctor or NP asking "What are you here for? Oh, that prescription? Okay, I'll send it to your pharmacy." Why couldn't that be done over the phone? I have tried to ask this question via the Klara app, but nobody will answer me, and when I've asked the NP in person, she said it was the policy of the owner of the practice--but the owner of the practice won't get back to me to discuss it. If this sort of thing doesn't bother you, then you may well be happy with this practice. Besides these maddening communications problems, they all seem nice.

I have been going to WFM for my primary care needs for years. Recently, my children have also become patients. Throughout the years I have seen many providers within the practice and I have always been very pleased with the care we have received. The tests and labs ordered have always been important, relevant and have been discussed with us prior to being done. I have never had an issue with getting in touch with any staff (including the doctors) for follow up questions after our appointments. I highly recommend WFM to anyone looking for great primary care in NYC!

For a medical practice this may be one of the poorest run practices I've experienced. First off the office never answers the phone whether you are trying to schedule an appointment, reach the physician, or have any other questions or concerns. The calls are automatically routed to an external answering service, which seems to never relay your message to the office staff . Secondly, if you are late for your appointment and try to notify the office staff that you are running late, the answering service will not inform the office of your delay. I've tried calling the office to notify them that I will be arriving a few minutes late , only to arrive at the office and be turned away from the doctor and told to reschedule appointment. On top of that they send a $40 bill claiming I cancelled my appointment.

Really upset by the person who did my blood work for my annual physical. She "could not find a vein," despite me never having had that problem before. She tried and tried and pricked me over and over again. I had to take additional time off work to go to another place to redo blood tests and the nurse there said that this practice regularly sends patients because of poor phlebotomy training. Now I'm being billed incorrectly because I had to go to this second place. A headache and huge waste of time. Please ensure your staff is properly trained.

A physician who truly cares about his patients. Dr Bregman is attending to my whole family. He is professional and caring. His Concierge service has saved us a lot of time and headache. His practice is always quick to respond with any question or request.
