Google review (Stefanie Dawn): I waited four months for an appointment with this doctor after having major surgery at the Mayo Clinic and being in pain and I was given a specific address by a member of his staff over the phone with detailed instructions of where to go because I was using a walker and I made sure to get there with plenty of time. When we checked into the building, we were told we were in the wrong location and that the information we were given was incorrect. We explained the situation to the staff and they were not sympathetic and would not accommodate us even though it was their mistake. A good doctor would have accommodated us and allowed us to go to the other location and still saw us the same day, but he wouldn’t give me that option. We are extremely disappointed with him and NYU. I would give 0 stars, but that unfortunately is not an option.

Google review (debbie golub): unfortunately no option for zero stars. My daughter was post surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. We had to wait 4 months for our appt with Dr Dikman, even though my daughter was in pain. Because of the location we were given from Dr Dikmans staff and the fact that my daughter was in a wheelchair, I had to arrange someone to drive us. My friend left vacation a day early to help us. My daughter took a day off of work. I drove an hour to bring her to my house, the night before in a terrible downpour, for our friend to pick us up there. Our appt was at 10:15AM. We were picked up at 7:30 AM in westchester, to make sure we were on time, in case we hit traffic and more rain. We arrived in the city at 8:30. We drove around until it was time for our appt. We went upstairs and were told Dr Dikman is at a different location today..sorry he won't be able to see you. We told the office about what we went through to get here....no one cared. We drove half hour to the correct office hoping the Dr would squeeze us in...no way. I'm a nurse. In all the offices, I"ve worked at, no one would ever turn away a patient that went to the wrong office because the Doctors staff gave the patient , the wrong office to go to!!! This is unacceptable! My daughter and I were looking forward to finally seeing a GI doctor in NY to hopefully address her pain. Dr Dikman should've done the right thing ..but he chose not to.
I am not interested in seeing a Doctor who could be so callous and uncaring. He should be ashamed of himself. I had another Doctors appt that day, I passed on to him, the treatment we got by Dr Dikman at NYU Langone. We were given a recommendation for a doctor at Mount Sinai. That's where we'll be going. Dr Dikman just lost a patient. I read his profile : so much for him "ensuring his patients with a positive healthcare experience" this was anything BUT that!!!

Google review (J N.): I was having some stomach issues and went to see Dr. Dikman. He took time to listen and evaluate the issues and eventually got to the root of the issue. He is a fantastic doctor because he listens, does a full work up without rushing to a conclusion based on what you the patient may suspect. He follows up and tries to allay your fears. I simply can't say enough about him. Also Annie in his office is terrific!
