Dr. Araten is a very thorough and knowledgeable physician, who cares about his patients. He saved my father's life by calling him at night on Thanksgiving and urging him to go to the hospital. We feel lucky to have Dr. Araten.

I was referred to Dr. Araten by my general practitioner due to irregularities in my blood testing for a surgery medical clearance. The office refuses to even speak to you about anything until they receive a FAX of the blood results & confirm you are in their system. Refused to accept test results by email. When I confirmed with my GP that the results were faxed, the office said they would call back to schedule an appointment if deemed appropriate. Then, 2 business days in a row, nobody picks up their phone during office hours. 1 day later, someone picked up, confirmed the results were received & the doctor hadn’t reviewed them yet. Said they would call back by tomorrow. When I called the next day, the receptionist initially tried to get me off the phone saying “WE would typically call YOU back once the doctor has reviewed.” But then she confirmed that the doctor did review the results, nobody called me, & he’s fully booked until a month from now. Wasted a week of my time when they could have told me that day 1 & now need to reschedule my surgery/time off/etc as I hope to find another doc with sooner availability

Dr. Araten has been a godsend for my son. He has been there every step of the way in managing and supporting my son’s recovery. We are forever grateful to him 🙏

Dr. "Araten" saved the life of Dilara Akbar after the physicians at Manhasset hospital had advised that her condition was fatal and that she did not have long to live.
