I was initially hopeful when I started seeing Dr. Abuchaibe. He ordered some initial hormone tests, and I thought we were on the right track. However, when a few of the results came back abnormal, he didn’t take the next step to dive deeper into the issue. I came in with multiple symptoms that are severely affecting my daily life - including hot flashes, fatigue, and weight changes - along with abnormal hormone blood tests that clearly fell into the endocrine category. Instead of taking the time to explore possible causes or order further evaluation, my concerns were dismissed and I was told to see another specialist. He didn’t care to look any further for root causes. This left me feeling unheard, dismissed, diminished, and without answers, despite my lab results pointing to something that should have been addressed within endocrinology. (Hormone Elevated two times beyond the top end of normal) I understand that not every symptom has an immediate explanation, but I expected more effort in working with me to investigate what’s going on. Sadly, I left feeling like my health concerns were minimized rather than taken seriously, and I’m left just as confused as I was a few months ago. Do not go see this doctor if you want anything beyond surface level.

I was referred here a year ago when my endocrinologist switched practices. I’m a transgender woman and come here for my Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy. I feel very comfortable with this office. It’s a nice facility and the staff is wonderful. I never find myself waiting around either. I always arrive to medical appointments early and need to take the LIRR home and their timeliness has always had me catching my train home. Dr. Abuchaibe has great bedside manner. I’ve always felt heard. He’s very responsive in MyChart. I look forward to my appointments here. Thanks!

By far the best doctor I’ve had. Wish I could find a pcp like him now! I’ve been seen Dr. Abuchiabe for years. He and his office is always on time for appointments and he goes above and beyond to help me manage my thyroid issues. I would recommend him highly.

I'm not sure what all the bad reviews are for ... Dr Abuchaibe is the best endocrinologist I've ever been to. He's encouraging, understanding and supportive. I had thyroid surgery and he monitored me way before and after since. If you’re looking for him to wave a magic wand for you to lose weight or expect not to wait a little sometimes- this is not the doctor for you. Thanks Cesar!

You would think that any doctor works alongside their staff to work together to create a good experience for their patients but no, that is not the case in this office. Dr. Cesar Abuchaibe is quick to point the finger on others instead of taking ownership on behalf of the staff that is working for him. He has no people skills and told me “You can go ahead and cancel. I don’t care”. Worst doctor experience I have ever had. Customer service should always be your #1 priority despite the industry you are in and clearly he put no effort into learning that part of the business.
