I had a great experience at Basicare Medical with Dr. Yong Luo. During this allergy season, I was constantly sneezing, dealing with itchy eyes, and feeling uncomfortable every day. Dr. Luo was extremely patient, professional, and detail-oriented throughout the entire visit. He carefully explained the possible causes of my symptoms and provided many helpful recommendations for managing seasonal allergies. I also appreciated that they offer allergy testing, which helps identify the real triggers instead of just treating the symptoms. The clinic is very clean, modern, and organized, and the staff made the whole process smooth and comfortable. It’s also very convenient for Chinese-speaking patients since communication was easy in both English and Chinese. Highly recommend for anyone dealing with allergies, asthma, or seasonal symptoms in New York!

Very disappointing experience due to poor billing transparency. Before my appointment, I was charged about $200 and reasonably believed it covered the consultation and testing. No one informed me before the allergy testing was performed that there could be an additional $800–$1,000 charge or explained my expected out-of-pocket responsibility. Only after the testing was completed was I told about the large additional charge. Had the cost been clearly disclosed beforehand, I would not have agreed to proceed with the testing. What was especially concerning was that the receptionist later apologized for not informing me ahead of time, while management insisted that patients are responsible for understanding their insurance coverage. My issue is not insurance coverage itself — it is the lack of clear financial disclosure before expensive testing was performed. I strongly encourage patients to ask for written cost estimates before agreeing to any testing at this office.
