Dr. Venegas and his assistant Joanna were pleasant, professional, attentive and very informative. The visit wasn’t rushed and it was very thorough. I highly recommend Dr. Venegas! He made a normally uncomfortable visit, comfortable. He is truly one of the best doctors at Wyckoff Heights Hospital and definitely an asset!

My reasons for a 1-star rating range from appointment times being treated as mere suggestions to rude and unresponsive staff. I cannot understand why my 10:45 a.m. sonogram appointment was changed via a phone call, forcing my appointment time to 9:00 a.m. without my input. When I arrived early for this new time, not only were patients who arrived and checked in after me called first, but I was not seen until 11:22 a.m. ​Once inside, the doctor provided the bare minimum and did not explain what my partner and I were seeing without us having to ask questions. I understand that logging errors happen because we are all human, but why does the specialist who missed the scheduled call not reach out? Why must I be the one to reschedule for their failure, especially when it concerns whether or not I need medication? ​Regarding the receptionists, while a couple of them were nice, I called once concerning the specialist appointment and was placed on hold for about 30 minutes; no one picked up, and after I hung up and called back, I received no answer multiple times. ​On a positive note, the nutritionist was amazing during my first visit, and there are a few good doctors and sonogram technicians. However, these positives are not enough for me to provide a higher rating when I am stuck waiting for ages just to be seen, and when my attempts to coordinate appointments with the receptionists are met with what I perceive as disdain whenever I ask for certain dates or reasons for limited availability.
