The surgical coordinator Emily is the most unprofessional coordinator I have ever encountered. You’re not able to discuss the surgery prior to the date of the procedure. You’re not allowed to speak with the surgeon at any time prior to 15 minutes before receiving anesthesia. Communication on necessary steps for the surgery are misinformed and incomplete. The coordinator waited until I was out on FMLA to cancel the surgery and I had to reach out to their office to find out this information the day before the scheduled surgery appointment. As a nurse HIPPA laws were violated by the coordinator reverting to text message as the route of communication and intentionally ignoring my calls. I would not recommend going under the knife with such an unsupportive medical team. A surgeon that has no desire to perform a consultation with the patient is quite unsettling and raises malpractice concerns.

- I recently underwent knee surgery with Dr. William King, and I must express my disappointment with the overall experience. Prior to the surgery, communication was challenging, with appointments being rescheduled without notice, leading to confusion and inconvenience. The office environment was not well-managed or clean, and extended wait times were common. On the day of the surgery, I was met with an overcrowded clinic, which did not set a calming surgical atmosphere. While Dr. King was kind during our brief encounter, I received limited information about the procedure. There were oversights such as administering the IV in my dominant hand despite my mention, and confusion regarding sedation protocols in the operating room. Post-surgery, I was provided with five medications but received no guidance on their usage or any post-operative care instructions. When I reached out to the office for assistance, the response lacked empathy, with the staff indicating that the surgical center should have provided that information. However, the surgical center informed me to consult my doctor for instructions, as they had prescribed the same medication to all patients after 25 surgeries. This lack of personalized care and guidance on medications and post-operative care instructions has left me feeling unsupported and concerned about the level of attention to individual patient needs. While Dr. King showed kindness, the overall experience has left me dissatisfied and unsure about the quality of care provided.
