I have shared office space with Dr.Wood for over three years .He is personable and easy to talk to, so that over this period of time,we have had discussions about treatment options,pharmacology , available resources and other topics.He is truly knowledgeable and an astute diagnostician and practitioner. I have referred patients -young adults in need of psychiatric help -,sons and/or daughters of patients in treatment with me. I have had unfailingly and consistently complimentary and admiring feedback. As a psychiatrist treating this age group,he has to consider the patient,the patient’s family and the educational system .He takes all these factors into account. He has been described as warm and relaxed ,open minded and intelligent and ,most importantly as genuinely interested in the well being of his patients. A.T., known to me for ten,maybe eleven years and the mother of a seventeen year old girl whom he recently saw in consultation,said it best “Thank you so much! “,she told me “He is very smart and really got her. She really liked him and I felt he treated her with so much care... I guess because he really does care.”
