I highly recommended Dr Engel. One cannot want better. He does all procedures well without long waiting times in the office. His staff is courteous and helpful. He is caring and will respond personally when the need arises - as it did in my case when I am not in th US. I truly value his professional opinion and care.

Don’t bother! First impressions go a long way and this experience was a hard no. This is an older office and the secretary was pretentious. “Who referred you?” No one, I did a search. It seemed foreign that you can google a doctor.. I advised I’m doing an annual check up and she immediately responded, you need an optometrist, not an ophthalmologist. I said no I do not. I have T1D and I need to do an annual visit. She then said oh, I thought you were asking about glasses. I never mentioned glasses, so how do you assume that? It was immediately apparent this wasn’t a good fit. I declined to schedule and she just hung up.
