My story is a cautionary tale of negligence at the hands of Weill Cornell Psychiatry. I was treated at Weill Cornell by a 4th year resident named David Pioquinto. He was supervised by Dr. Jason Kim. He prescribed me Latuda, a medication known to cause tardive dystonia. When I started experiencing symptoms, nobody seemed to recognize what was happening to me, even as my condition became severe. Then the doctor took me off of the medication COLD TURKEY without titrating me. I am now permanently disabled for life. I hope my story inspired them to teach their residents about the side effects of the medications they are prescribing, so this never happens to any patient ever again.
