We've been coming to Weill Cornell Medicine in Long Island City since our son was born in early 2025, and as first-time parents, finding the right pediatrician felt like one of the most important decisions we had to make. Dr. Austin is everything you hope for in a pediatrician. She is patient, thorough, and genuinely supportive — never making us feel judged for our questions or choices, which matters enormously when you're navigating parenthood for the first time. She is a strong advocate for vaccinations, which aligns perfectly with our values, and she went above and beyond helping us navigate additional immunizations needed for international travel. Every appointment runs on time, and she always walks us through our son's growth stats in detail, explaining everything clearly and making sure we leave with a full picture of how he's developing. When he started showing signs of allergies and sensitive skin, she addressed it with so much care — giving us thorough instructions and making sure all the necessary paperwork was ready for his daycare without us having to ask twice. What also sets this practice apart is the responsiveness. Whether it's a question, a paperwork request, or a weekend concern, someone always gets back to us within hours. We once called the on-call line over the weekend for a non-emergency situation and were able to schedule a follow-up appointment for the very next day. That kind of accessibility as a parent is truly priceless. The office itself is modern and welcoming, the check-in process is seamless, and the nursing staff — who handle both pre and post-appointment care — are warm, attentive, and genuinely sweet with our son. Every visit feels like he's in good hands from the moment we walk in to the moment we leave. We are so grateful to have found Dr. Austin and this practice.
