I had a very disappointing experience with this dental office. I made an appointment specifically because a filling that was done about two years ago at another dentist had fallen out and needed to be repaired. When I called, I clearly explained that I needed to fix the filling. However, when I arrived, they started with a cleaning instead of addressing the problem I came for. After the cleaning, they spent a long time trying to find the exact spot where the filling had fallen out, even though that was the main reason for my visit. After the exam, they began recommending multiple expensive procedures. I was told that my insurance supposedly does not cover “their materials,” so fixing the filling would cost $120. When I asked what makes these materials different or better, they said they didn’t really know the difference themselves, which was very concerning. Then I was told that I have three cavities, even though they said the decay was small. After that they kept adding more and more costly treatments — $520 for something they described as a “plate to avoid hitting the nerve,” and another $5200 to treat a “bad taste in the mouth.” None of this was clearly explained in a professional or medical way. In total, they estimated more than $6000 in treatment. The doctor’s attitude also felt quite aggressive and unprofessional. The front desk staff were polite and friendly, but unfortunately they were not able to explain the medical details. The dentist who performed my cleaning repeatedly said she did not understand my questions, seemed irritated and angry, and did not communicate with the patient in a respectful or helpful way. It also felt like there was constant pressure to accept additional paid treatments. In my experience, they often try to push expensive procedures not only on me but also on members of my family. After this experience, I decided to get a second opinion from another dentist.
