I went there only once for my first planning appointment because proton radiation centers are rare and it was very convenient for me to commute to. Bougiest place ever! I absolutely loved the staff (front desk, nurses, technicians, etc.) I interacted with. They visibly loved their job and deeply cared for the patient. A day before, a nurse calls and explains everything, so the check-in process was the smoothest. The bigger issue was with the Dr though. Despite me signing a lot of forms for this facility to receive my MRIs from another hospital system (and they did receive all the records), the doctor hadn't even looked at them. On top of that, she thought the other/healthy side of the brain needed the treatment (she would know better had she looked at the MRIs). Further, while explaining all the VERY serious side-effects, she gets a call and just disappears - poor bedside manners. It was a very awkward meeting overall. Sure, the Dr.'s role in the actual treatment is limited (it is mostly the technicians who give the radiation, but Dr still has to plan and review the progress), but I was just icked by the red flags I witnessed firsthand, and I couldn't convince myself to go back there. Hope others have better luck here in pairing with a better Dr. here.
