Had the most horrific experience in their ER. We waited over 3 hours with barely any patients in the waiting room whatsoever. Finally they call my mother back and I walk over to the nurse with her. The nurse says only 1 visitor allowed. I said I am her only visitor. Then she proceeds to interrogate me about my age. I told her I was over 18 years of age. Now she tells me there’s no visitors allowed back at all. At this point I’m confused and frustrated because I was just told 3 different stories. I went back to waiting in the waiting room while they took her back. About 45 minutes goes by and no updates. Then, my mother calls me in distress telling me that she was being mistreated. Her male nurse threw a gown at her and ordered her to change in a very rude manner which made my mother feel extremely uncomfortable. While I was still on the phone with her I heard her request a new nurse while hearing the same male nurse yell at her while denying his behavior. They finally let me in to see my mother and immediately upon entering the room, the first thing I noticed was the filth! Completely unsanitary. We immediately walked out and went to white plains hospital where we should’ve went from the start - 100% times better than Lawrence ER.
