I visited the Dermatology Specialists Brooklyn College location and was assigned to PA Valencia Guillaume. I arrived at 11:10 a.m. and even took a Lyft so I would not be late. While I was filling out paperwork, reception informed the provider that I was there, but she stepped out and took about 24 minutes to return. Even after she came back, I was still kept waiting and was not called in until around 12:15 p.m. The medical assistant was pleasant, welcoming, and professional, which I appreciated. However, the overall wait felt disrespectful of my time, especially since the provider’s online schedule showed multiple open appointment slots from around 12:10 p.m. through the evening. My friend was also waiting in the lobby and noticed the provider walking around without any sense of urgency. I understand medical offices can run behind, but patients deserve communication, professionalism, and respect for their time. This visit left me disappointed.
