This doctor is completely irresponsible, unprofessional, and honestly dangerous. Last year, my mother became seriously ill, so we took her to this neurology clinic after I researched and found Dr. Hilmi online. He performed an EEG on my mother, and a few days later called us with the results. He claimed that both sides of her brain were affected and then told us she only needed a follow-up after ONE YEAR. That alone made no sense considering how sick she was. Any concerned doctor would have wanted close monitoring, not a yearly check-in. When my mother pushed for a follow-up after three months instead, he agreed. That was the first major red flag we regret ignoring. The real problem started when we got a second opinion from another neurologist and repeated the EEG test. The new neurologist told us that only ONE side of her brain was affected, directly contradicting Dr. Hilmi’s findings. At that point, I genuinely started questioning whether he had even reviewed my mother’s records correctly — or if he had confused her results with another patient’s. I called the office and requested a copy of the EEG report to be emailed to me. When I received it, the report listed the WRONG AGE for my mother. That was beyond alarming. Because of this, we decided to visit the clinic in person to discuss everything directly with him. When we arrived and asked if we could discuss the results with him, he said he did not find any problems when he called my mom to say that both sides of her brain were affected. He told us to wait 20–30 minutes. After five minutes, he came back and changed it to 15 minutes, then only two minutes later suddenly called us in. My mother calmly asked to review her records again and asked him to explain his findings one more time. His response kept changing. First, he claimed the EEG machine “was not working.” Then when we questioned him further and asked, “So you never actually reviewed it?” he quickly changed his story and said the machine just needed a battery replacement. None of it added up. Then we pointed out the fact that the report described my mother as a 60-year-old woman when she is not. Instead of apologizing, he casually said, “It’s just the age, it’s nothing serious. We have a lot of patients, so sometimes records get mixed up.” Let that sink in. A neurologist openly admitting that patient records get mixed up in his office — as if that is normal or acceptable. That is absolutely terrifying coming from a doctor responsible for people’s medical care and diagnoses. What made this even worse was his attitude. He NEVER apologized. Not once. Instead, he argued with us, dismissed our concerns, and repeatedly tried to belittle my mother by saying she was “sick,” as if that excused his behavior and mistakes. It was disgusting, arrogant, and completely lacking in empathy or professionalism. We even have voice recordings of the conversation because we were so shocked by the way he spoke to us. And to make matters worse, the receptionist is consistently rude and disrespectful as well. The entire clinic feels careless, disorganized, and unprofessional. It honestly shocks me that a place handling neurological patients can operate this way.
