Worst Doctor I Have Ever Seen DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR I saw Dr. Susan Lucak for over a year. I don't think she should be practicing as a doctor- that's how bad it was. When her treatments didn't work she would become angry with me and insist that my chronic pain was psychological- or as she said "something's going on up here" [points to head]. She was a bully and maybe even emotionally abusive. Here are some other things she did:-"you're focusing on your chronic pain too much"- give me that - takes notebook and pen with questions out of my hands-"you have an eating disorder" - my therapist says I don't- "well you do" (I didn't)-"How better are your symptoms?" "hmm maybe 10%?" "No I'd say 20%" (writes that down instead)- these are used for her to promote herself for awards-yelled at me for not gaining weight-another gastroenterologist at Weill Cornell later told me she didn't like her and that she campaigns to other doctors to get votes for her best doctor awards.I eventually moved over to a 3rd party GI company (not sure if I'm allowed to name it here so let's say it rhymes with New York Tastroenterology Tassociates) after being frustrated by her and the major NY hospital GI doctors (huge egos, when they don't know what to do they just say it's psychosomatic but Dr. Lucak was the worst) and years of pain. And guess what? First appointment my new doctor had me do a SIBO test, then gave me antibiotics, and for the first time in 8 years I was pain free. It's been 2 years since then and my pain is 90% gone, which has been lifechanging. I still mourn the time I unnecessarily lost to daily chronic pain and the emotional toll of being bullied by Dr. Lucak as my doctor. Shame on Weill Cornell for letting someone like this practice.
