Very unprofessional receptionist lady. Called to make an appointment as a new patient because I want a second opinion and they won’t take me unless I switch my PCP on insurance in advance. How would I know if the doctor is right for my baby before even seeing them, it makes no sense to me. If it’s a rule of how insurance works, fine , insurances have been working stupidly forever but it sounds it’s more of an ego issue here. The lady didn’t say it’s a rule of how insurance works she said “ the doctor won’t take you if you don’t put his name on the insurance card”.
