as a dad ima be honest the begining of aba was reallly really tough for us. my son was like 2.5 and he legit wouldnt even look at the theripist, not even for a sec, and def not listen. after the first day i was like yeah this prob isnt gonna work we shud just stop now. kennedy kept telling us its normal tho, like the pairing proccess takes time espically with sensory stuff and kids this young. i didnt really buy it at first but they kept pushing us to give it a litttle more time. and yeah… they were right lol. it wasnt overnight or anything, took a bit, but once the theripist kinda “broke through” to him it all started clicking. like slowly at first and then more and more. now its been about a year and were honestly sooo happy we stuck it out. the growth is crazy, stuff i never thought id see from him. autism is still there obviously, not like it just goes away, but were learning how to handle things better and hes way more independant then before. not a road i would of ever chosen tbh, but im really greatful we found kennedy aba. def quality care even if nothings ever perfect in life 👍

Before Kennedy ABA came into our home in Durham, afternoons used to feel imposible. The second the school bus dropped off our son it was instant chaos… throwing backpack, screaming over the wrong snack color, hiding under the kitchen table if the TV volume sounded “too loud.” We stopped inviting people over because we never knew what kind of evening it would be. The in-home ABA has honestly changed the atmosphere in our house. Instead of forcing him into some unfamiliar clinic, they worked with him where life actually happens. The therapist noticed things nobody else picked up on, like how transitions between rooms were triggering him or how certain textures completely threw off his mood. Now we can do little normal things again. Family dinners. Quick grocery trips. Even walking through Target without abandoning a full cart halfway through. The progress isnt “magic overnight” progress… it’s real-life progress that slowly sneaks up on you until one day you realize your house feels calmer. Very thankful for Kennedy ABA and the patience they’ve shown our whole family.
