I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience at this apartment complex warrants a clear warning to prospective renters. On paper, the building seems appealing; in practice, persistent operational failures and poor service management make daily life frustrating and uncomfortable. Climate Control: Sweating in Spring, Freezing in Fall The building’s centralized HVAC system does not allow timely switching between heating and cooling. Each year, there is a prolonged gap—often around a month in spring and another in fall—when the system is stuck in the wrong mode. The result: stifling apartments during warm spring weeks and uncomfortably cold units in the fall, with no meaningful interim solution provided. Management: Rude, Unresponsive, and Unhelpful Interactions with the management team have consistently been dismissive. Requests are met with canned responses, delays, or outright rudeness. Escalations rarely lead to resolution; you’re more likely to get policy quotations than problem-solving. Elevators: Chronic Delays That Will Make You Late There are simply not enough elevators for the building’s occupancy. Waits of 10 minutes or more are routine during rush hours. Expect to build extra time into your schedule just to leave your floor; it’s not an occasional inconvenience—it’s a daily reality. Hot Water: Intermittent and Unreliable Hot water outages occur without warning and can last through peak morning hours. Cold showers become a recurring theme rather than a rare hiccup. Maintenance notices, when they do appear, often come after the fact rather than in advance. Laundry: Do Not Pay for In-Unit Machines The in-unit washers and dryers are unreliable—frequent cycle failures, poor drying performance, and error codes that require repeated service calls. Paying a premium for in-unit laundry here is a poor investment; you’ll spend more time troubleshooting than doing laundry. Bottom Line This building struggles with fundamental residential essentials: consistent climate control, basic courtesy from management, functional elevators, reliable hot water, and working laundry. The cumulative effect is daily inconvenience and discomfort. For the price and promises, you deserve better. I cannot recommend signing a lease here.
