Martha Hardin
I have Meige syndrome and I had gotten to the point where I couldn't swallow. The Urgent care I went to evaluated me and sent me to UAMS after calling my specialist in the movement disorder clinic. Upon arrival, the ER took me straight back with no waiting. After forming a team just for me and my condition, they began explaining how they would proceed. I was made comfortable to wait for a room. Within 36 hours I had a surgical procedure to place a feeding tube. All went well and came home the following Wednesday. I only have good things to say about this hospital and every staff member, doctor, and even the chaplain. At times it seems that they were slow to respond, but I realized the hospital is under staffed and were all working above and beyond. Thank you, UAMS. I would encourage all those who can to make regular contributions to this place. It will help so many people in so many ways. This includes the doctors, nurses, students, and the patients who go to UAMS. The outpatients, inpatients, and the ER patients. Everyone gains when we all give together
