Slope Pediatrics

We had great experience with my newborn. Dr. Papageorge was our primary doctor and I can’t say enough good things. Also the staff was amazing accommodating us with any request. We had to leave the practice right before my son turned 1 since we moved, but recommend the practice and Dr. Papageorge.

This practice has gone severely downhill. We have been bringing our child there to see Doctor Frank for years, but since being taken over by NYU Langone they have become extremely mismanaged and predatory. In August, our child developed pneumonia, and they refused to see him, forcing us to go to urgent care, where he was misdiagnosed the first time and overmedicated the second. When we finally got an appointment with Slope Pediatrics, they asked "why'd you take him to urgent care?" More recently, we took him for his regular checkup. We pay out of pocket for his visits and have for years, usually a few hundred dollars. This time, with no warning, they ignored the "out-of-pocket" adjustment and charged us almost FOURTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS. Part of this was a meningitis shot, which they assured us would only involve the cost of the shot itself, but then they went on to add insurance and administrative fees. We're appalled at what this practice has become.
