My husband Kevin has been a resident at Silver Lake for the past 3 months. He has vascular dementia. I can’t say enough about how wonderful everyone is who works there and I mean everyone. Everyone is friendly, helpful and they go out of their way to make sure Kevin is happy. Everyone knows his name and my name. I am so happy and grateful for this place. I know that Kevin is being taken care of and loved by everyone there.

My loved one has been transferred to this nursing home, and I Must Admit, that prior to his transfer, I was Nervous based on on our experience with his previous nursing home, which was Split Rock. A few months have now passed and without wanting to be overly excited (the first Couple months) I must say that this is probably One of the best nursing homes. As for the people that have reviewed it poorly It’s truly unfair. My personal experience is that everyone in there has made it they’re sole purpose to create a homey environment Filled with love and care.. I’m still in shock Of the Compassion and the care That the staff provides. It’s not glitzy fancy, however A true Home is never a fancy appearing one. They focus on well-being and health . Starting from top to bottom, it feels like they have created a community for the people that need to be there and their primary goal is to make people well.. I have not had a piece of mine for the past year(While my loved one was in the hospital and then Split Rock ). Since he has moved to Silverlake I feel like it’s just family taking care of family. My brother is in need of respiratory care and I am so grateful they provide that. The improvement that he has made is unreal and almost like a miracle. Right when we lost Hope they gave it back to us. I also wanted to point out how the staff Is one step ahead Of our loved one’s Care. Our experience from other nursing homes (Even hospitals ) was that everyone would wait till last minute until it was almost too late To take action regarding his health. Here even when they suspect something’s not going well, they act on it so it doesn’t escalate. So to the people that left the negative reviews, I recommend You take a look around and get a reality check and stop complaining about cookies. These people here are on a mission and are literally saving lives. They Will treat your loved one as a human that matters And not only will they care for them physically but also mentally. Providing 360 care is the most essential and very rare to find anymore. Ps we visit almost every day, and I could guarantee There is NO foul smell like one of one the reviews has stated. Honestly, I applaud the people who run and are in charge of this facility and of course, each and every one of their staff. Whoever is In charge of this nursing home sincerely cares. Thank you for all the hard work and dedication. You and all your stuff are true lifesavers.
