Sheepshead Bay Surgery Center, Inc.

Had eye surgery with Dr. John Kung here. Doctors and nurses and the procedure were good. Bedside manners needs improvement at Sheepshead Bay Surgery Center. We were there for 5 hours for a procedure and after the surgery, Stephanie in the front desk lied to us and wanted us to wait longer for another patient so she can pair us up in a cab to avoid calling for another car. There was an issue with billing. I had to get Olga on a conference call with BCBS regarding a deductible. They were, of course, wrong. They wanted to charge me over a $1,000, but my responsibility was only $111. Dr. John Kung good. Facility customer service needs improvement. Better communication is needed too. There were older patients there who haven't eaten or drank all day, at least keep them updated on delays.

Surgery itself was good but their car service is horrible. Had to wait over an hour because they're trying to group you w another patient going to the same borough, I guess to avoid the manhattan congestion fee. We had to return to manhattan and the patient that came down 45 mins after us had car service immediately.
