I’m sure this place is great if you need ozempic or lip injections or a facial, since it looks like that’s what they do(?), but if you’re looking for a primary care physician, I recommend going elsewhere. First of all, I have never even met Doctor Shalena Islam. Is she real? She must be in the back doing lip injections or facials or whatever because every appointment I schedule has been handled by the nurse practitioner. And that would be fine if I felt like my needs were met and I was actually cared for, but it’s truly been the opposite. During my follow up visit to review some test results I was left alone in the doctor’s office for over an hour. The entire time, I could hear the nurses and the receptionist having a lively chat, so after about ninety minutes of anxiously waiting I went out to ask what the hold up was and they said the radiologist lost my paperwork. So they were just waiting. I told them I came on my lunch break and didn’t have all day, so they called and the radiologist said they had found the results and already faxed them. These girls are totally irresponsible. For some reason that wasn’t my last straw. But I have been back and forth with this place for over a month because they keep getting my very simple asthma prescription wrong. First they prescribed me for an albuterol nebulizer when I asked them to prescribe me an inhaler refill. Well, my insurance does not cover a nebulizer, and besides, that’s not what I need. So I called them, hoping for a quick fix. Next they revised the prescription to an albuterol inhaler, but it was the wrong dose. “A baby dose,” as my pharmacist called it. Even he was alarmed and called me before filling it because it didn’t match my previous prescription. Over the past month I have been back and forth traveling overseas and across the country with an expired inhaler. I don’t have time to keep calling this place every day, but when I do have time I am always left hanging. I found some time to call again last week to sort this out once and for all, and was told they’d call right back. Did they? No they did not. No voicemail, no text, nothing. I still haven’t heard from them. Did they fall off the face of the planet? Perhaps they’re simply in another dimension than me. I’m literally turning to fantastical sci-fi delusions because that’s more soothing than the thought that these losers are actually that irresponsible and careless with my medical records and my health. At this point I’m going to cut my losses, but others deserve to know how screwed up this place is. Clearly their priorities are out of order.
