By far the worst medical experience I've ever had. Do not go here unless you have no other choice, and if you do, seek secondary advice from another trusted source in addition. I went in there to get an oral consultation and my wisdom teeth taken out. The admin were very incompetent and did not reach out to my insurance company at all. I had to do all of the legwork to find out my deductible, copay, and coverage. I was here for a total of 6 visits in one month. None of them was a wait time less than 45 minutes. (Also note that the waiting room and the entire facility is dingy and dirty). On the day I did get my surgery, the dentist (Dr. O) was fine. The procedure was painless and took 20 minutes for three teeth (that's the only reason for two stars vs one). However, they didn't walk me through any symptoms or complications (for example, that numbing would cause difficulty breathing, or the fact that I am a woman on oral contraceptives increases chances of dry sockets -- that's something I learned on my own). Note that this was my first time undergoing oral surgery. They also failed to tell me I need to flush the wound, and did not provide me with a syringe. Picking up the prescriptions was a confusing and disorganized experience. They forgot to call in multiple prescriptions, and when I asked them to please call it in to a closer pharmacy to me, they said they couldn't. The whole ordeal took three hours of me waiting, calling, and riding back and forth with a bleeding mouth. Upon my post-op checkup, the dentist was condescending and dismissive to me after I told him that I had a dry socket (which I did). He briefly looked at my mouth and then said I didn't, and simply gave me a syringe. I returned yet again a week later, saying this time I was sure I had a dry socket. I also told him I had self administered clove oil for my intense pain, and in response he was irate and told me not to "self medicate" -- then told me that he didn't know what clove oil is. For the record: clove oil is a natural oil with the active ingredient Eugenol. Eugenol paste is what they used on my mouth. The fact that he didn't know this was baffling and worrisome to me. I was very upset that he had not diagnosed my dry socket and that I had spent 5 days unnecessarily in pain. Instead of apologizing for misdiagnosing (or not diagnosing) my dry socket, which I DID have, he said I was disrespectful and "not listening to him", and then asked if I was on birth control. When I said yes, he said "Well, ok, that's why you have a dry socket." Note that at NO point prior to this did they let me know that being a woman on BCP would increase chances of a dry socket. Everything that helped me I had to either look up myself or get from a secondary source. I have spent hours and hours and so much energy at this horrible place. I will not be returning for my final extraction. I would rather lose the money I have already paid and see someone who is actually professional and reliable -- it will be safer and better for my health in the long run.
