I had a wonderful experience with Katie at Rockaway Beach Physical Therapy. Her staff, Mark, Andy and Erica were attentive, and truly invested in my recovery. They took the time to understand my injury and created a personalized plan that helped me increase my range of motion in my knee after knee replacement surgery. No matter how busy Katie was she would always take the time to make sure I was doing my exercises correctly. Niamh gave me exercises that targeted my areas of concern. Nick showed me effective exercises that I continue to do at home. This group truly cares, I highly recommend them!

I came to Beach NY Physical Therapy in desperate need of quality PT after having spinal surgery. I had a gap in care because of how long workers comp takes to give authorization so my family helped me self-pay to begin and not face another set back. I feel this place and the level of care really saved my life and gave me hope despite feeling trapped by the horrors of workers comp. I have to say this PT office has a fabulous billing team and I experienced much less gaps between WC authorizations, they really know what they’re doing and don’t make you the patient do the legwork of following up with necessary parties to get renewed pt sessions. There’s nothing worse than needing continued treatment and being told “call your adjuster and figure it out yourself.” Beach NY staff never did this to me and I’m eternally grateful for that. A kind and experienced billing team makes a huge difference I can’t thank them enough. As for the PT itself I always felt in safe hands, I wasn’t left alone, I was given corrections to my form and appropriately challenged to progress, exercises were adjusted based on my changing needs and any questions I had were thoughtfully addressed. My back pain was reduced and I gained much needed functional strength. Lastly the environment and staff is warm, there’s laughter and it feels like being a part of a community, this feels very rare and helped me want to always go to my sessions even if I had high pain, if I ever thought about cancelling and went to a session I’d finish feeling much better and grateful for the company. Living with a disability is incredibly isolating and it was so nice to always feel welcomed and supported.
