I scheduled an appointment for March 21, 2025, through Zocdoc, as the website indicated that Dr. Teter accepts my health insurance (Empire BlueCross BlueShield). However, when I arrived for my appointment, the representative informed me that although Zocdoc allowed me to book, Dr. Teter does not accept my insurance since it is Medicaid. I was given the option to pay out of pocket, but the cost was $600. I've read many great reviews about Dr. Teter on both Zocdoc and Google, especially regarding his expertise in injections for foot pain. Unfortunately, I’ll need to find another provider who accepts my Medicaid coverage to receive the treatment I need. I appreciate the representative for taking the time to explain the situation and for offering suggestions. I also hope that Zocdoc improves its accuracy in listing accepted insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare, to prevent confusion for future patients.
