9920 4th ave JAG physical therapy facility - i have been going to this facility since early January 2025, a couple of months before this i had a serious operation that resulted in spinal fusion surgery. I was in pretty bad shape, not being able to get around too good in the beginning without using a walker to get around. My orthopedic surgeon just before this gave me several choices to select physical therapy facility. I asked a friend of mine in bay ridge who said this was a great facility, they had gone there due to nerve damage in their arm. The first day was submitting my referral then getting an full assessment on my condition. I was already performing basic rehabilitation exercises which was helping me along up to then. The same day I began physical therapy, a couple of months later i had increased my leg strength and endurance. I had much more mobility, making longer walks, able to shop, performing errands and doing chores around the condo. I am now after 5 months began walking, I'm no longer using a walker. Of course I must improve my gait and balance, I have been walking for three weeks already. They have gradually increased certain exercises and adding ankle weights. All of the staff at this site are very professional in their approach. They have all contributed in my recovery, I know that much more work on my part especially what I was taught in the facility I will perform exercises at home the days I'm not scheduled at the facility. I have come a long way since the beginning, hopefully by the time Oct comes when I see my orthopedic surgeon i can walk into his office with not much effort. Again I couldn't ask for better people to help me in my recovery.
As of 11/12/25
I am into my 18th week of walking. The physical therapy has changed in the past month and a half with working on my balance for walking. It was difficult in the beginning but necessary, along with continued strengthening of my legs there has been much improvement of my overall stride and balance, a long way from a year ago where I was unable to walk. With the continued help of the physical therapists and staff who have all been helpful in my improvement. I couldn't be happier at this point, more work on my part can be done especially on my own, hopefully by the spring time I will be more mobile. Thanks again to JAG physical therapy for taking me this far.

On 2 more weeks of physical therapy to go, I'm more independent because of the hard work to get my life back. My physical therapist and entire staff at 9920 4th ave in bay ridge have been responsible for my recovery. A year almost of exercise 💪. I must express my thanks to all. It's been a long road since emergency spinal fusion surgery, from almost not making it to walking around since the summer. I couldn't have asked for a better choice to get rehabilitation. Merry Christmas and happy holidays to everyone!
January 1st, as of yesterday it was final day of rehabilitation at JAG. Much hard work get me back on my feet. My 25 week of walking, of course the rehabilitation was difficult, I was challenged by everyone there which improved me overall. Hopefully when I see my orthopedic surgeon in April he will give me more good news, if he says I need more work on my balance and strength I will certainly get a referral again at JAG. Again it's been a pleasure to have such a great staff to help me get back on my feet against
Almost 26 weeks of walking the books. My 2nd week of me being responsible for my own rehabilitation. I have my routine down, work on my forward, lateral, and backwards movements on the parallel bars in the park along with the exercises taught to me by the JAG physical therapist and staff. After almost a year of physical therapy I'm moving around much more freely, I have a ways to go but in the right direction. Thank you again for the entire staffs help in preparing for the next step of being better physically, mentally, and spiritually
28th week of walking. Celebrated last week, found out the Dr's didn't expect me to walk ever again, here i am.
