My family used Blossom for homecare for my mother who has Lewy body dementia with Parkinsonism. It was the worse experience ever! The Administrative staff was very nice and helpful to get us signed on but once that process was over, the staff that worked directly with the family on scheduling was unprofessional, uncaring, abrupt and rude. Soon after taking the case, they decided that they did not have the staff in our area for our case and tried to abruptly drop the case with little forewarning. As for the aides, they were horrible. One left during her shift on three separate occasions, one came obviously inebriated and on several occasions, I had to personally go to my Mom’s house to care for her myself (even though I have no training) when their aides did not show up or left early. I can’t emphasize how unprofessional they are. So much so, that we filed a complaint with NYS. Thank goodness we found other agency that is great to work with and have competent, trustworthy aides.

I highly recommend Blossom and Molly F for assisting us in getting the help we needed for our 90 year old mother-in-law. My mother-in-law has numerous medical issues and is oxygen dependent 24/7. She lives alone in an independent living residence but needs 24 hour care. In the past year she was hospitalized six times and was recommended to relocate to a nursing facility where she would get 24 hour care. However she refused because she didn’t want to leave her neighborhood, friends and neighbors where she has resided for over 60 years. We were referred to Blossom for possible enrollment to New York State’s NHTD Wavier program which if qualified, would allow our mother-in-law to get the services needed to stay in her residence. Molly demonstrated great patience, meticulous care and answered every question. We deeply felt her professionalism and help throughout the application process. After several months of stress and anxiety throughout the States application process, Molly was always there to ease our fears and we finally received approval by New York State. My mother-in-law is now in her residence with 24 hour care with four wonderful home health aides watching over her. We thank Blossom, Molly and the entire care team for making my mother-in-law happy in her final chapter in life.
