I’ve been flatfooted my entire life, and with that came foot pain that started before I was even 10 years old. After decades of living with it, I finally decided enough was enough and began seeing Dr. Cathyann Corrado, DPM. Testing revealed that I had a plantar fibroma and plantar fasciitis in my left foot, as well as plantar fasciitis in my right. Dr. Corrado initially had me try orthotics, stretching, and icing, but my condition had progressed too far for those treatments to be effective. She then recommended Dr. Jason C. Snyder for surgery—and I couldn’t be happier that she did. So far, I’ve had surgery on my left foot, and the results have been incredible. The post-surgery pain was minimal, I didn’t even need physical therapy, and the plantar fasciotomy incision was essentially the size of a pinhole. As anyone who has dealt with chronic foot pain knows, it can really affect your mood and mindset, so this has been nothing short of life-changing. Dr. Snyder tells me I can look forward to a normal life—one where I can exercise freely and wear whatever shoes I want without constant pain. I’m also looking forward to the second surgery on my right foot, which should be even easier since it’s only for plantar fasciitis. Before my first procedure, I had done a lot of online research and was concerned about potential complications like hammertoes or other adverse effects. Dr. Snyder reassured me that these issues were highly unlikely, and his confidence and expertise put my mind at ease. Beyond being a highly skilled surgeon, he is friendly, personable, and incredibly reassuring—exactly the kind of doctor you want when facing surgery. If you’re struggling with chronic foot pain, I highly recommend Dr. Snyder. He’s given me a new lease on life, and I’m beyond grateful!
