If I could leave, no stars, I would!!!!!! My wife and I have had one of the worst experiences imaginable with Barclays Credit Card services. We applied for the cards while we were in the middle of moving and specifically gave them our NEW address. Weeks went by with no cards, so we called to find out what happened — they had shipped both cards to our OLD address despite us updating everything correctly. This became a huge issue because my husband needed his card to pay for our rental truck, and I needed mine for a flight during our move across the country. We called customer service and were promised the cards would be overnighted. Only my card ever arrived. We spoke with a manager who assured us my husband’s card would also be overnighted immediately. That card NEVER showed up. To make matters worse, every single time we tried to use my card, Barclays repeatedly flagged it for “fraudulent activity,” even after we verified purchases multiple times. Every phone call was a nightmare. Representatives were rude, unhelpful, and constantly refused to speak with my husband even after we added him properly to the account. After nearly 10 phone calls trying to resolve this mess, the final straw happened when I called simply to ask whether my husband’s replacement card had shipped. Instead of answering my question, the representative somehow marked MY ONLY WORKING CARD as lost or stolen and shut it down completely without my permission. Now we are stuck in the middle of a 2,000-mile move with movers and a trailer to pay for and NO ACCESS to the only card we had available. The entire experience has been full of mistakes, lies, incompetence, and unbelievably rude customer service. In all my years dealing with credit card companies, I have NEVER experienced anything this stressful or unprofessional. Barclays has caused us nothing but headaches during an already difficult move. Beware before choosing Barclays. Their customer service is unreliable, disorganized, and absolutely not trustworthy when you actually need help.
