Premier Pediatrics: Brooklyn

Have been going here for the past 10 years with our two sons. We started when they were born, and have found the practice to be excellent. We briefly tried a different practice that was noticeably closer to where we live, and had a terrible experience. This took us back to Dr Sarnoff and Dr Patel at Premier. Highly recommend!

Dr. Sarnoff and Dr. Patel have been wonderful providers to our two children. They are both extremely knowledgeable and kind and make us as parents feel at ease. We love coming to Premier Pediatrics!

My daughter has been a patient of Premier pediatrics at their Park Slope location since her birth in 2010. I had always been very happy with their care And had recommended them to several families over the years who were looking for a pediatrician. I was disappointed two years ago when they significantly downgraded their offices from their location on Warren Street to a new location on President Street, which was cramped, dark and not at all welcoming. But we received an adequate level of care and really liked our pediatrician so I decided to stay. Today I receive a bill through their text system Klara, for $250. I have not been to their offices since last February, and they have not provided any services for my daughter since then. When I went into my account, it said it was for “administrative fees“. I assumed it was an error and I called the office. Of course, I could not get through to anyone. Someone did call me back a half an hour later and told me that the fee had been instituted last April And that I had received several text and emails about it (I had not) and that it covered “forms and whatnot” When I told her that I did not want to be charged the fee and would find a new pediatrician, she told me she would text me a link through Klara, where I could give them my feedback. I wanted to be assured that I was not going to be charged this fee to my card on file and she said I needed to put it in Klara. completely unhelpful. She texted me the link I could not get into Klara, despite giving my daughter’s correct name and birthdate Three times. I was then locked out of the account. It’s a real gong show over there. We’ve been fortunate that my daughter has been relatively healthy and typically only goes to the pediatrician once a year for checkups. The only forms they ever complete for us or her health form for school and her vaccination record, Which they used to charge $20 a year for (which seemed reasonable). I could maybe understand charging a fee for infants who have multiple appointments in a given month, but it seems absurd to charge a 15-year-old child $250 a year with literally no warning. Not sure what’s happening over there but you can likely do better elsewhere.

We love these doctors! We have been visiting this practice for four years and have felt so well cared for at every developmental stage. Their team goes above and beyond for children and families! When my son landed in the ER with viral-induced asthma near Christmas, Dr. Patel and Dr. Sarnoff stayed in daily contact with my family until he recovered. They checked in via video calls and even opened the office over the holidays so they could ensure that my son was well.

We've had a wonderful experience at Premier Pediatrics and have enthusiastically recommended them to all our friends! Both of our kids (baby and preschooler) have primarily seen Dr. Weinberger, who we adore for his warm demeanor and sage advice, but the other doctors we've seen (Dr. Patel and Dr. Sarnoff) were also exceptional. The nursing staff are also fabulous and always remember our children, make them feel comfortable, and just generally create a joyful environment. The operations are also strong: the front desk and their communication system, Klara, have made scheduling appointments and asking questions easy. Everyone is always responsive, polite, and helpful. It's also worth mentioning that we've never had a problem with billing or insurance. All around, five stars.
