They stated I would have to pay 500 before the consultation even happened, booked the wrong appointment for me and then denied services because I wouldn’t provide my social. Keep reading for more details. Genuinely cannot speak of the services because I didn’t make it past the front desk. I called to make an appointment of consultation (I already had the referral) the lady I spoke with on the phone, told me I’d have to pay at most $500 co-pay (I don’t have a co pay or deductible). I asked what the charge was for she said medications they would need to prescribe at the appointment (the names she stated were over the counter meds I could get at the pharmacy). Additionally, they didn’t even see me yet and didn’t have my insurance information to see if I would need to pay anything. Once I gave the insurance info, she called back 2 hours later to say I don’t have a co-pay but that at the consultation I would be told if I needed to pay out of pocket. When I showed up for the appointment front desk staff was very helpful and nice, they are paperless and I had issues with the forms “required” questions to move forward. Legally I’m not required to provide my social and I don’t have secondary dental but it’s required here to move forward. Now the front desk helped with this but also bypassed me adding my medical insurance which I would’ve needed for the procedure and ended up needing to be fixed later. Then when taking my ID, dental card and referral they informed me I was booked for the wrong appointment and had to make another appointment. Fine, I made the appointment and they stated everything in the system was good and I could come in for the appointment the next day for the specialist and check in that I’m here. I came back for the appointment checked in, they said I’m all good. Then 45 mins after my appointment time I have 2 people still in front of me, they called me back to front desk to say they were reviewing my information again and noticed I didn’t provide a social. I’m providing everything you need to actually bill for insurance purposes and not providing the social at a dentist office has never been a problem, but you also stated I was already good yesterday and earlier. Now I cannot move forward unless I provide it. Upon speaking with the manager to ask why it’s required, I was told it’s policy and that for any discrepancy issues later, they require it. Yes again not legally required by law, you don’t need the social to bill the insurance when I’ve literally giving you the insurance information and you’ve taken the picture for your system. She said it’s their policy. When I asked to see the policy she said it’s not in the financial agreement but would get the paper. It was typed on Google or word and printed out. I wish I took a picture to attach it was not on letter head, no company logo, there was nothing stating that this was a location based decision or managerial decision. Just cannot move forward if you don’t provide it that’s the policy. It’s just frustrating because I was already here for the wrong appointment and you already told me I was good. If they had caught it when I was first there and stated I couldn’t move forward without it fine no harm no foul. But to come back twice, I still need the procedure done and now I have to look for another location and use more sick time because I was told they would very likely do the extraction at the appointment since I already had the scans needed called off sick for the rest of the day, only to be denied services. As of April 2026, no where on their website does it state that SSN’s are required for services and it should be listed at a part of the first visit items if they are requiring the information at registration. Gave a 2 because they were very respectful and nice and it’s not their fault that overhead doesn’t have a written policy to provide patients on this matter.
