This was my second time trying out the lupus clinic at NYU Hospital for Joint Disease after coming many years ago. My health took a downturn and my previous rheumatologist recommended I go here. I see nothing has changed. The same doctor I saw over a decade ago suddenly showed up to oversee my care although a fellow was my primary doctor. Once again I felt like my personal business was being gossiped about. I could sense the attitude of the fellow changing toward me in a negative way along with the attitudes of the residents, phlebotomist, medical assistant and other employees. I felt like I was the talk of the town. When you're dealing with life-threatening autoimmune diseases you don't need more stress and trauma in your life especially from doctors who take a vow to do no harm. I do not recommend this place if you want to be treated with dignity and respect and not judgment as a patient.
