I originally went to Manhattan Plastic Surgery to correct a deviated septum. After consulting with Dr. Lofti, I ended up doing a septoplasty + rhinoplasty. The practice came highly recommended, but I’ve been extremely disappointed with both the outcome and the follow-up. My deviated septum was not corrected, and the rhinoplasty result was not what we discussed. My nose looked either unchanged or worse. Over the year following surgery I developed odd bumps that required multiple visits for injections. Throughout that time I was repeatedly told everything “looked great” and that it was “all part of the process,” even though I was clearly having ongoing issues. I also had concerns about the incision/stitching under the nose, which looks poorly done and never fully improved (it’s messy). Four years later, I still wish I had spoken up sooner so others could make an informed decision. I went back to see Dr. LaBruna two years ago (he runs the practice), who initially said he wasn’t happy with the result of Lofti’s work and that his first instinct would be to re-operate, but wanted to wait a month. When I returned, the tone completely changed and I was told everything looked great. I have never posted a single review about anything, but this is important to me. I don’t care about the money wasted — I’m posting it because I went through a long recovery and didn’t get the functional or cosmetic results that were promised and was not treated particularly well (gaslighting) along the way and I just want others to understand my experience, as it may help them (Dr. Turner was excellent, I still see him and my experience is not related to him in any way)
