My sister did not have a very good experience at Peninsula Nursing and Rehab. A few of the aides were not compassionate and were very rude. Especially a "Ms. Black". My sister is bedridden due to cancer and cannot walk or move very well. She was made to sit in her dirty depends for hours at times. She had her food thrown onto the overbed table. When we let the Nurse supervisor know about her treatment she said she would take care of it. Things actually got worse. They would ignore my sister. My sister asked me not to complain any more because of this. My sister is sweet and not a person to complain at all. I know these places can be short staffed and the help is overworked but the aides could at least try to be nice. I will say that my sister loved the physical therapy team. She said they were very nice and encouraging. The head of social services a Miss Dana Burtin was also excellent and a very big help in getting my sister discharged, to be taken care of at home. So I am thankful for the Physical Therapy team and Ms. Burtin and the few aids who were nice and good at their job. Thank you for treating my sister kindly. On the other hand, as far as the nurses aides who were down right rude and inconsiderate, you should be ashamed of yourselves, how would you like it, if your loved one was treated the way you treat your patients. Just shameful!!
