I’m honestly surprised this office has a 4.3-star rating on Google, because my experience was extremely disappointing. I found this doctor through Zocdoc solely because the office is close to where I live. This was my second visit. The first time, I was unhappy with the overall appearance of the office, but since it’s nearby and my son needed a school physical, I decided to give it another chance.
When I arrived, I greeted the receptionist and informed her that my son had a 10:00 a.m. appointment. She did not respond and simply stared at me. I repeated myself, saying “Good morning” again and restating the appointment time. She then pointed to the sign-in book and told me to sign in, without acknowledging me or returning my greeting. This interaction was confusing and unprofessional.
After sitting down, there were only three people total in the waiting room, including my son and me. We waited about 30 minutes before the receptionist called me up to tell me I had a $15 balance and also needed to pay an additional $15 for today’s visit. Because the office is so close to my home, I had not brought my purse with me. I asked if they could bill me, and she said no. I then asked if Apple Pay was accepted, which she said yes.
Unfortunately, the office had very poor service, so I asked if I could use the Wi-Fi just to complete the payment. I was told patients are not allowed access to Wi-Fi, and then she claimed she didn’t have the password. When I attempted to pay, my card kept declining. I showed her that I had funds available and even transferred money to my Apple Wallet to try using my Apple Card, but the system continued to decline the payment. I explained that something seemed wrong with their system, but she insisted the issue was mine and looked at me as if I was being dishonest.
After several failed attempts and increasing frustration, I told her I would take my son elsewhere for care and left. Immediately after leaving, I used my card at another location without any issue, confirming that the problem was not my account.
Overall, the office was not clean. When we arrived, staff were mopping the floors, yet the space still appeared dirty. The staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. I also believe this office overcharges for visits. At another pediatrician’s office, there was no co-pay, and the physical exam was much more thorough.
At this office, during my first visit, my son’s “physical” consisted only of bloodwork. We were even told to go to another office downstairs to have his blood drawn. At the new pediatrician, his vitals were taken, he was properly examined, and everything was done in one location, as it should be.
I give this office a zero out of ten and do not recommend it at all. If it were up to me, this place would be shut down immediately!
