I was a patient at this dermatology office for nearly two years and spent thousands of dollars pursuing treatment plans, prescriptions, appointments, and follow-up care. Unfortunately, my overall experience ended in frustration and disappointment.
At my last appointment, after years of treatment, I was essentially told that “we might have to start over.” That alone was discouraging, but the billing experience afterward was what finally pushed me to leave this review.
I received a bill for my appointment for approximately $100, but when I logged into the payment portal, the balance had suddenly increased to over $400 due to an “audit” of old appointments from 2024 and 2025 that the office claimed had never been billed. I had never previously received invoices for many of these charges and had to request itemized statements myself.
After paying the balance the billing department told me was due, my HSA card was later charged again for additional amounts that I had not authorized and had never been notified about. One office staff member even mentioned that my file was “in collections,” while the billing department simultaneously stated that I owed nothing. No one could provide a consistent explanation, and multiple promised callbacks never happened.
When I finally went to the office in person, they acknowledged that someone should have contacted me before processing charges against my card, but no one did.
The most concerning part of this experience was not just the billing confusion — it was the lack of communication, organization, accountability, and transparency surrounding patient financial information.
I understand mistakes can happen in any office. What matters is how they are handled. Unfortunately, after two years as a patient, this experience left me feeling like I had to investigate and manage the office’s billing issues myself.
I would strongly encourage patients to carefully monitor their invoices, payment methods, insurance processing, and account balances if they choose to receive care here.
