I would recommend Oak Street Health to NO ONE. It was very cold, unfriendly, unprofessional, and unwelcoming. Firstly, Juana, the doctor's assistant, refused to raise the footrest on my wheelchair for me to step on the scale. She did offer to physically assist me... but being over 300 lbs, I refused her for fear of toppling over since she was smaller in weight and stature. I wound up standing on my own with the footrest still down, in the way. Then, the doctor Martinez was, not just, extremely rude... she was disgusting in her approach and presentation-speaking aggressively, being condescending, and presuming to know me based on her personal experience with other patients in other states. I'm not from Georgia. Her bedside manner left much to be desired. The EKG tech was also very unpleasant and unprofessional-huffing and puffing, making sounds of frustration and annoyance with her mouth and storming out of the examination room seemingly due to me expressing my issues concerning my health and treatment. She also was disgusting to be around. If I was uncomfortable, it was because I was made to feel that way. They all thought that I came from the Allerton Ave location ,which I did not. It felt like I wasn't supposed to be there, and they didn't like that I was. I heard someone say, why didn't I stay there (at Allerton). Perhaps, if my last name were Martinez or Lopez or Gonzalez or Pacheco, I would have gotten better treatment. I ended up leaving. This is the second time I left this office unsatisfied. There won't be a third. The best part of this experience was the ride home. That star is, actually, for the driver, who seemed more sensitive, professional, and respectful than the clinical staff. He'd be a great Access A Ride employee. Thank you, José.
