I had a very bad experience with this neurology office, mainly due to poor front desk organization, poor communication, and lack of coordination between staff. From my first visit, the front desk staff were unprofessional and inattentive. When you stand in front of them, they barely acknowledge you or speak to you. I specifically made an appointment to see the neurologist, yet I was never seen by the doctor—only a PA/NP (who was kind, but that is not who I scheduled with). Common problem I hear from patients. After the visit, I was told I needed three tests, and later another test was verbally mentioned as well. However, one of these tests was never added to my chart or visit notes at all. When I went to the front desk to schedule the tests, the staff had no idea what the provider had ordered. I had to explain the tests myself, which made it clear that things were not being properly documented or communicated. On top of that, a nurse later told me my birth year had been entered incorrectly, and I had to ask the front desk to fix their mistake. I was also instructed by the provider to give my prior medical records to the front desk to scan. When I did, the same front desk employee told me it was “too much,” refused to scan them, and instead made me go home, scan dozens of pages myself, and email them. I have been to many medical offices and have never encountered staff unwilling to scan records—it usually takes only a few minutes. Two days before my first scheduled test (which I had waited over a month for), I was suddenly told my insurance did not cover it. If that was the case, why was it scheduled so far in advance without proper insurance verification? When scheduling my EEG, I had to reschedule once because I got sick, which pushed the test out another month or so—extremely slow compared to other places. During scheduling, the staff member mentioned I needed another test but admitted he didn’t even know what it was, saying the name was “complicated.” I later found out it was the same test that wasn’t covered by insurance. FINALLY, despite receiving multiple confirmation texts and emails—and confirming my EEG appointment day before and prior to that—I showed up on the day of the test and was told it had been moved to the following week because the technician wasn’t in. The front desk claimed they “called me,” but I received no call, no voicemail, nothing. When I was told this, the staff member appeared visibly annoyed, avoided eye contact, rushed through a quick “sorry for the inconvenience,” and walked away, showing little concern for the time and preparation I had already put in. At that point, I canceled all future appointments. The front desk repeatedly failed to do their job, and the overall lack of organization, accountability, and basic professionalism made this experience exhausting. I am now seeing another neurologist elsewhere with no issues. I would not recommend this office.
