After my treatment was completed I had made a comment that my gap would reform within seconds and I was told that I needed to wear my retainer longer. Months later I find a new dentist and he advised me that I needed a frenectomy as soon as he saw my teeth. The dentist was surprised why Dr Blank did not ever suggest that before, during, or after the Invisalign treatment. I even asked friends as to why the frenectomy procedure was never even brought up as an option or suggestion. I’m going to go out of my way to say Dr Blank deliberately didn’t tell me given the benefit of the doubt that I still complained about the gap reforming within seconds after I wore my retainer basically all day. Not to mention he increased the price of the retainer within the same year, actually within months from +$500 to +$800. I can’t believe I wasted the better part of a year to only redo another realignment treatment after I completed my frenectomy procedure. My new dentist charges me $300 for both top and bottom retainers. The new retainers are also made of a stronger and durable material that Invisalign lacked. Please do your due diligence and research. Seek second, third, or even fourth opinions before investing in your teeth. I’m highly disappointed with the lack of transparency and exploitive behavior.
