For years my bunions have been bothering me. Over time the pain became progressively worse to the point that I could not ignore it any longer but I did my best to hope it would just stop hurting because I had heard quiet a few unpleasant stories of other peoples experiences. Finally, I went to see Dr. Blitz in June 2024 to discuss my right foots bunion which was the more severe one. I neglected to follow through because I was scared of the recovery and knew that I needed to block 6 weeks out. Fast forward to December 2025, my feet just getting worse I decided to go back to Dr. Blitz for another consultation. He answered all my questions and addressed my concerns. As I was leaving the office, another patient was waiting to see Dr. Blitz for her 6 week check up for both feet. She shared her experience which was very positive. As of today, I am 5 weeks post-op and I am happy to report that I have been healing very well from my DOUBLE Bunionectomy procedure performed by Dr. Blitz and Dr. Grecea and walked out of the procedure. The hardest days were days were days 2-4 and after that I just took EX Strength Tylenol to manage my pain and was fine. Dr. Grecea called me the night of procedure to check in on me and answer any questions that had come up. I was uncomfortable on day 3 and reached out to the office. I quickly got a call from Dr. Grecea who FaceTimed me to look at my feet and patiently helped me redress them. At my 2 week post op appointment I had my stitches removed by Dr. Grecea and got a good look at my new feet, WOW. As per instructions, I started physical therapy and go 2x a week, I do the pt exercises at home, continue to ice my feet 1-2x a day and elevate my feet. I have not gone back to work but have been walking outside for bits here and there comfortably. My feet are still swollen but see that swelling getting less and less. I'm so relieved that I finally did the surgery and thrilled I did both feet. Thank you to Dr. Blitz & Dr. Grecea for giving me two working feet. I attached a photo from the week prior to surgery and the second I just took, 5 weeks post-op.
