Getting an anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) with Dr Tindel may have been the best healthcare decision I’ve ever made. Within hours, my nerve pain was gone; within days, weakness disappeared and strength returned in my arm. Of course the surgery requires recovery time, but he encouraged me to get back to physical activity quite quickly. Within weeks, I could lift weights, do Pilates, ride horses — all as if I’d never had spine surgery. My husband, a neuroradiologist, works with Dr Tindel and sees pre- and post-op images of his cases, from relatively simple surgeries like mine to the most complex trauma you could imagine. He trusts him more than any spine surgeon in the city. Now I do, too. He is affable, honest, and always gave me his undivided attention. (Photos are of the stretches he taught me postop; I have no detectable loss of range of motion.) I highly recommend him and his practice.
