Collette V. Smith
I’m deeply disappointed with the level of care I’ve received from Dr. Raytses as my primary care physician. Her attitude is consistently dismissive, and she communicates in a rude, uncaring manner. On multiple occasions, she has refused to offer appropriate medical guidance, including when I asked for help with managing depression. Her response—“I’m not a psychiatrist”—was delivered in a cold and unacceptable tone. As most people know, primary care physicians commonly prescribe antidepressants, and I was simply seeking support. The most recent issue, however, was the final straw. At the end of March, I requested a referral and necessary documentation for a second opinion regarding complications with my total bilateral knee replacements. Despite giving her office ample notice, they failed to send the required care management form to the orthopedic specialist, Dr. Leung. I didn’t find out until I was physically at the orthopedic office, in severe pain, and was told the form had not been sent. When the front desk staff and I called Dr. Raytses’ office from the orthopedic clinic—after waiting over two hours—she responded with major attitude and refused to send the form until the end of her day (7 PM), well after my 3:15 PM appointment. Her lack of urgency and compassion was not only frustrating but deeply unprofessional. In my experience, Dr. Raytses has demonstrated a troubling lack of care, follow-through, and empathy. If you’re seeking a physician who truly prioritizes patient health and acts as an advocate for your wellbeing, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. If I could rate her zero stars, I would.
