I am so disappointed by the services provided by this place. I had seen Maryum quite frequently when I was going through a very tough time in my life and she was honestly so unhelpful and my experiences with her have prevented me from getting the help that I need. My last appointment with her I was very vulnerable but she was in a rush to end our meeting and didn’t even bother scheduling our next appointment. She said that she would reach out to me and she never did. Considering the things I disclosed during that meeting, it was completely unprofessional of her to never reach out to me and check in with me. Also prior to this during our other appointments she would frequently be yawning and basically on the verge of falling asleep. She did disclose to me that she had another job during the day but it was frankly just rude and discouraging for her to be so visibly uninterested while I was being so vulnerable. I understand that the pandemic was financially tough for everyone but I just think that if your side job is going to be counseling the least you can do is actually be invested in your clients and do your best to provide them with the services they are seeking. Due to my experiences with Maryum, I have been too scared to reach out to other providers preventing me from getting the help I need and significantly impacting my mental health. I can honestly say that it is providers like Maryum that end up doing more damage than good when it comes to mental health services. If you are thinking of coming here for counseling, you are better off going somewhere else because they do not truly want to help you.
