I would like to thank Yuri and his staff for a great experience and even better prices. Yuri took care of my wife and I he was patient, honest and exceptionally knowledgeable. He listened attentively and gave us perfect care that made us comfortable. They accept multiple healthplans with a great selection of frames which made it even more affordable for us. I will be returning to Murray Hill Optical from now on for all of our eye care.

No physical doctor and examination felt rushed. Extremely high prices even after insurance for digital lenses (not discussing freeform since digital is a standard at virtually every provider). I was quoted $1550 pre insurance and $950 post insurance for a single pair of freeform prescription glasses. Digital shaping was quoted as only a little less, about $100 bucks less as they quoted. For comparison the same prescription and lens material with transitions is about $320 at warby parker after insurance. I certainly want to support local optometrists but I am unwilling to pay 3 times as much for a nearly indistinguishable product. Even when I chose to not purchase glasses they attempted to bill my insurance $620 dollars for an eye and contact exam. I was still charged $190 for the eye exam out of pocket. However, they even managed to get my prescription wrong. A had a second eye exam and the sph on my right eye wrong by +0.5 SPH. Yet they audacity to charge me for a second check when I described my discomfort. In fact they even knew my prescription was wrong when I came in for my contact lens follow up but did send a second prescription or follow up. I feel deeply disappointed having naively followed the previous good reviews. At the end of this process I feel squeezed dry for my money.
