I find it highly disrespectful and more importantly DANGEROUS that this office allows their front desk to have an influence or determination on someone’s health and care. I truly understand that being late to an appointment can be burdensome to the office and even other patients. We called ahead and expressed that we would be late and then a followup call where we expressed we are minutes away, yet the woman who acknowledged my wife in person “As we explained to you on the phone” had an influence over my wife’s care. Yet the woman on the phone felt bold enough to express to my wife “no one is going to be here after 6 o’clock.” And I ask where is the compassion. My wife had a long testing process that would have taken a couple of hours, but they determined to reschedule everything except one test. There is a reason a person would see a specialist, especially a Cardiologist. It’s life and death. My wife is soft spoken and was not disrespectful. To have that level of unprofessionalism from the front desk is astounding. Now my wife, who needs to see the cardiologist, needs to be reminded each time she visits that office the horrible interaction she had with the front desk. It’s highly upsetting and enough is enough. And i highly suggest they record every phone conversation at the front desk to avoid the nonsense of “he said she said”. My wife needs the CARE not unprofessionalism.
