Dear Mount Sinai Team, I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the excellent care I received at your Astoria ER. Despite my initial hesitation after reading some reviews, I am so glad I followed the recommendation of my friends. From the security and registration staff to the nurses on the afternoon shift, everyone who attended to me was amazing. I felt truly cared for, respected, and safe throughout my visit. The wait time was very reasonable, especially considering the more serious cases the team was managing simultaneously. I want to extend a special thank you to PA Jessica Sparacio😇. She is a wonderful professional, and your team is fortunate to have her. Thank you all for the compassion and care you provide. I arrived in pain and left with a smile. I previously wrote about the ER in this hospital. I should say my views have changed in the last year. Their ER has been modernized & is better, tho the room to be "interviewed" could be a bit better. But I'd rate them now 4 stars. However, I'm mainly writing- & my rating -is for 2 doctors I go to. Namely Drs. Portella & Mehra, my PCP & Pulmonologist respectively. I live in Brooklyn currently, & it takes me between 45 min to 1 hr by subway to get to see them. While I've numerous doctors here, I travel to them. In a nutshell, that should tell of my thinking. Both deserve over 10 stars. They constantly write back when I've a question or problem, mostly the same day. Constantly involved in maintaining my health. In that hospital, I've had a couple other docs that I dropped when they ignored my MyChart communication. But those 2 doctors are a dream come true.
